Hmm… very happy, Feifei! Haven’t you heard? We’ve been given the day off tomorrow.
Feifei
明天放一天假？Nobody told me! Well, that’s good news – happy days!
Rob
Err… no, just one day, Feifei – one happy day.
Feifei
I know – it’s just an expression. 在日常交流中，当我们听到好消息或是令人高兴的事情后，我们就可以用 “happy days” 来感叹或作答。“Happy days”的意思就是 “good times” 好日子，快乐的时光，幸福的日子。So, I’m saying it’s great news about the extra day off – although I still don’t know why I haven’t heard about it.
Rob
Oh, don’t worry about it! But I can say ‘happy days’ because the weather’s going to be great tomorrow, so I’m off to the beach.
Feifei
